"how would I know if a guy likes me?"

well, i said (i can't remember exactly what i said :p):

if you think a guy likes you, you should ask him "do you like me?"
i mean, a question like this will probably catch the guy off guard, and he'll tell the answer..he won't be able to lie- if he does like her- it is his moment, his chance to reveal to the girl how he really feels for her.. i doubt any guy would lie at this given opportunity.. hell you could probably smell a lie from a mile away- i mean, if he hesitates, or takes a long time to come up with a 'no' he's probably lying! if he doesn't like you, he wouldn't hesitate to say no.. and a guy wouldn't say yes if he didn't like you..

she said something like "what if he doesn't like her? it would be embaressing!"

it wouldn't be really embaressing, i mean its something you could joke about later..there's no harm done in asking (imho)

well in case you wish to be more tactful, the other way to go about this is to look for hints:

- he's being too nice to you- he goes out of his way just to please you
- he buys you stuff (duh!)
- he talks to you alot, or tries to (this is if you haven't ignored him yet.. lol)
- he tells all his friends about you
- he keeps asking you out
- he actually cares about you or the stuff you say

and that's all i have to say! :p
